The Jacksons bags are established worldwide as the original jute macrame bags, authentically made by hand. Having spent over 15 years refining and pushing the boundaries of this traditional bag making technique, the brand's unique placement of words and characters are instantly recognisable. Practical and playful, they are designed for everyday use as the perfect shopper, beach bag, travel bag or stylish tote for work or pleasure. Our bags are genuinely 100% sustainable, crafted from natural jute that grows in abundance as a weed on marginalised land in Bangladesh. Known locally as the ‘golden fibre’, jute has a low environmental impact with no need for water. It also absorbs a large amount of carbon dioxide while growing and is extremely strong as a raw material.

Our jute macrame bags are handcrafted by women living in remote rural villages in southern Bangladesh. These women work from their homes, in between caring for their families and traditionally tending the land. They are paid directly for their work, empowering them within their own society. The Jacksons are proud to support the education, healthcare and livelihoods of these craftspeople who have become Louise Jackson’s “extended family”.

100% Jute macramé & azo-free dye. We advise storing the bag in a cool, dry place. Colour may bleed if the bag gets excessively wet.

Shipping and returns

UK: We offer free collection in-store on all orders. Standard delivery is Royal Mail Tracked24. Deliveries often take 1–2 working days to arrive. Express delivery is also available on orders placed before 12pm, choose DPD Next Day at checkout.

Rest of World: We offer international delivery, which usually takes 5–10 working days. The cost is calculated at checkout depending on the country you're in.

Goods purchased in store and online can be returned or exchanged within 14 days of purchase with a valid receipt, unworn and in perfect condition. Sale items are sold as seen and cannot be refunded or exchanged. This does not affect your statutory rights.

Any orders returned will incur a £3 fee, which will be automatically deducted from your refund when we process your return.
