Our placemats are crafted entirely from locally grown jute, a durable raw material which grows abundantly in Bangladesh. Known locally as the ‘golden fibre,’ jute has a low environmental impact, absorbing carbon dioxide and improving air quality.

The women who create The Jacksons placemats are paid directly for the work that they do. We’re proud to be working in a project to increase financial independence for women in 60 villages across Southwest Bangladesh.

Approx 35cm x 21cm. 100% Jute. Azo free dye. We advise storing jute away from direct sunlight in a cool, dry place. Colour may bleed if the jute gets excessively wet.
